Whatever the home - balanced interiors are accomplished using a blend of HDR (Ambient) & Flash work to accomplish it all. When it comes to exteriors HDR is used to give you a full view of the home. 

 

Essential Real Estate Photography

The Essential style will capture the home with timeless and more traditional, wide angles. All the while maintaining beautiful window views, and a classic home. Specific details & angles are included with our Cultivated package below.

As some homes require more time, have acreage to traverse and may require a more thoughtful approach, we've created the Cultivated package for just the occasion. Showcasing unique designs and more artistic images - the Cultivated style will capture the home with that in mind.

Preparing the Home 

When on location to shoot, because of the personal nature of each client's home - we do not tidy/clean or adjust things, so we've prepared some of the best tips to have your home photo/video ready! For the best images & video - making sure the home is prepared in advance is will yield the best results! We know if can potentially be stressful when a client is listing their home, or looking for a new home - for this reason, we highly recommend that your clients are off site when we are working, as this enables us to do the best work, and move freely within the space. 

Home Exteriors

• Ensure all light bulbs are working, and that their colour temperatures match, and replace any that are not. This is extremely important for twilight photos. 
• Store recycling or garbage bins inside the garage or away from sight.
• Rake up leaves and sweep dirt and debris from patios and driveway spaces, and tidy any clutter in the surrounding exterior that you do not wish to see in photos. 
• Park vehicles along the street so as to free up the drive way for front of house images.
• A welcoming yard makes photos stand out. Mow the lawn, put fresh hanging baskets out, a blanket on a chair and declutter the yard.

 

Home Interiors

• Ensure all light bulbs are working, and that their colour temperatures match, and replace any that are not. When photographing interiors - this is one of the items that will stick out the most in photos/video. A daylight bulb and warm white bulb tend to draw focus away from the subject.
• Remove clutter from all spaces, night tables, coffee tables etc. - papers, toys, animal accoutrements, nick-naks, etc. These items can be stored in cabinets or closets - as we do not photo/video these spaces unless by request. We would also recommend hiding your kitchen garbage bins out of sight as well.
• Put away children & pet toys. These can go into closets.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and clean the spaces. Pay special attention to kitchens & bathrooms.
• Clean & clear counter spaces in the kitchen & bathrooms. Feel free to leave a few appliances out for show, as the goal is to show potential.
• Fluff up throw pillows, add a blanket and de-clutter the living spaces of too much furniture. The less furniture in the space, the bigger it looks, and the more visually appealing it is to potential buyers.
