Nanaimo Golf Course Wedding Spotlight

         One of Nanaimo’s best wedding venues, the Nanaimo Golf Club! You may think you have to be members to get married here...but weddings are open to the public! Beautiful, curated green grounds, ocean views and the food & staff are incredible! They've got a stellar food and beverage manager, Charles, and phenomenal staff, like the co-ordinator Haley! Charles and his team work diligently to ensure your wedding is both well organized & everything you imagine! They offer customizations, and will have a golf cart (or two!) ready for you to take photos in their stunning Janet Rivers Garden!

NGC offers a few locations for your ceremony! We've photographed stunning evening NYE ceremonies in their private upstairs area, the large reception room when its been not so fabulous outside, and of course their outdoor patio with a view of Departure Bay and the willow tree! This is great to have a few locations with some indoor options as you never know the what the weather my bring on Vancouver Island. One of our favourite angles to capture on their patio is from above on the balcony - it offers a unique perspective of the outdoor wedding ceremony!

The Janet Rivers Garden, willow tree and fountains in the middle of the course are easily accessible and make for some stunning images! They also provide some pretty exciting ways to get there...can you say golf carts!!!

The reception area has some great architecture and the bar is substantial - which is great for guests! NGC does a beautiful job with their food! They have fantastic variety, and are able to customize menus to your tastes! The floor to ceiling windows offer beautiful natural light and views, as well as easy access to the patio outside for guests to get some air and watch the beautiful sunsets!

With the patio being so nearby, its easy to get outside for one of our signature Night Shots! These are our specialty, we use multiple lights, techniques and props - such as sparklers or smoke bombs to create something magical for our couples!
