New Years Eve Wedding at Nanaimo Golf Club {Beau & Jessica}

The #BESTwedding of 2018!!
     This was a wedding we have been looking forward to for a long time! Not just because it was an exciting New Years Eve wedding or that their last name made it literally the #BESTwedding! Nope - its because we have know Jessica for years as an amazing friend, and one of our most beloved makeup artists (Jessica Churcher Make-Up Artistry)! One of the the biggest compliments we can receive is when other wedding professionals trust us to photograph their weddings!

With their romantic 7:30pm ceremony, Jesicca & Beau started their day earlier with a first look outside the Board Game House in Old City Quarter! The Board Game House you say? YES! It's where they shared their first date, and a round of Minion Trouble! If you're ever looking for something fun to do...head down to the BGH, order up one of their specialty Grilled Cheeses with a signature milkshake, and set up with your favourite board game (they've got TONS!). To keep with the farmhouse feel of their His & Hers cowboy boots - we went to Millstone Winery to finish their photos! Its hard not to love the lines of the old farm house, and the rustic feel of the wine tasting room!

After a chilly (but dry!) afternoon outside, we were treated to an intimate dinner with their families at Nanaimo Golf Course...Lobster Bisque has never tasted so good! After dinner, we warmed by the fireplace and celebrated their "I Do's"! With Winter light - the idea of a late ceremony time and romantic fireplace is the perfect way to celebrate and stay cozy! Did we mention WE LOVE WINTER WEDDINGS!? Beau & Jessica made their grand entrance as Mr. & Mrs. by walking into their first dance at the reception, and after that - spent the rest of the night dancing with friends, enjoying the macaroni bar and waiting for the ball to drop to ring in the New Year 2019 together!

     Big Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Best - we hope you have an amazing start to your lives together in 2019!

So many things were outside the box for Beau & Jess...one of the BEST parts? Their first look...usually the bride sneaks up on her groom...but Jessica wanted it the other way around - honestly, we don't know who was more excited to see the other, but we loved the reverse and hearing Jess ask..."Is he coming yet?", "Is he behind me yet?" and then seeing a HUGE smile grow across her face every second she waited!
