John & Hannah are adorable! She's a bubbly, extroverted, theatre student, while he's a quiet, introverted, gentleman. They're great together and we had such a blast shooting their engagement session at Hatley Castle in Victoria! If you're not familiar with the castle, it was Lex Luthor's mansion in Smallville, as well as Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in the X-Men movies! Needless to say...it was an incredible backdrop to shoot with!

Hannah & John went to high school together, but never officially met. It was a few years later at Christmas time, that John caught a glimpse of Hannah at a New Years party. It was more than a glimpse, it was love at first sight for John. From the first moment he saw her, he knew his life would never be the same, and that Hannah needed to be part of it. And then he left for work in Fort MacMurray...kicking himself the whole way for not having worked up the nerve to say hi. He came home a few months later, and they ran into each other at a friends' movie night, and worked up the courage to offer Hannah a ride home. From there they emailed back and forth, getting to know each other, and he offered to be the gentleman on her arm at prom - an offer which she happily accepted! They went to prom, and John never went back to Fort Mac. Instead John took a job closer to Hannah in Nanaimo and they were inseparable, spending every moment together they could. 

And now, here we are! Their wedding is happening this September and we're absolutely thrilled to be part of it!

Without further ado...

And then we headed to the great exterior! There were so many great nooks and crannies to shoot, not to mention the peacocks roaming the gardens!
