What a day for Nathan & Jillian! These two were married on the smokiest day of 2020! It made for some incredibly unique images - and light!
For the first time - we started at the wrong ceremony site...yes. You read that correctly. Hilariously enough, we followed Nathan to the spot, there were chairs, a sign, a few guests and the officiant all there awaiting the bridal party...as time went on a the ceremony seemed to be running a little late and then someone came running across the parking lot - we were at the wrong spot at Rathtrevor! Cue laughs, and a small bit of panic. Honestly, the actual location was even better! And it was also clearly marked (we're laughing so hard reliving this). Instead of the forest (also a great spot), there was a stunning beach spot mostly set up (groomsmen were running with the chairs) with views that spanned the smokey strait, with a thick blanket of smoke softening the backdrop as they held hands on the beach in front of us...and exchanged one gorgeous diamond ring and a stunning, green RING POP!
From touches of Tartan to Drambuie - their day was filled with some beautiful family traditions, and laughs and it was spectacular to share in! Their family and friends gave great speeches, ending with raising a dram in celebration the traditional Scottish way, with Drambuie. We enjoyed a delicious dinner from Farm to Fire (Wood Fired Pizza), and capped off the evening with first dances, cake cutting and some amazing people.
Congrats Nathan & Jillian, and thank you for inviting us to share in your spectacular day!
